Our 100% Kona coffee is a mixture of peaberry, extra fancy; fancy, and number 1 beans hand picked by the family and only the best coffee beans are used for Mama's Kona Coffee green and roasted beans.
When we first started learning about coffee farming, mama would sort through every basket we picked and would "Talk Story" about the different types of coffee beans. What a quality coffee bean should look like and what to look for during the picking, cleaning, soaking and drying phases of coffee and how it will taste when it's roasted. Mama says that's my picture on the label. Let me tell you what I don't want to see in the basket.

We offer 3 roasting styles
Medium Roast : Smooth, rich taste, hints of roasted nut and fruit. Pulled after the "First Crack" of roasting. Dry, no oils present in the roast. Also known as a "Regular City" or "American Roast".
Medium Dark Roast : Smooth, rich "Full City" taste, hints of chocolate. Pulled after the first few seconds of the "Second Crack" of roasting. Dry to some faint oil droplets or patches of oil. Also known as a "Viennese Roast".
Dark Roast : Full body, rich bold flavor. Pulled near the end of the "Second Crack" of roasting. Shiny surfaces on the beans. Also known as a "French Roast", can be used as an Espresso bean.
